You Can Enjoy Thanksgiving Without Starting Over Monday.

A simple plate, a normal day and a plan for leftovers: no restart required.

By Sabrina Searles

Thanksgiving is one meal on one day. It does not undo your progress, and it does not need a “fresh start” on Monday. A little planning is enough to enjoy it fully.

Build your holiday plate

  1. Start with protein. Turkey is a great anchor.
  2. Add produce. Roasted vegetables, green beans, salad.
  3. Choose a smart carb. Sweet potatoes, stuffing or mash. Pick the one you love most.
  4. Leave room for the favorites. The dish you wait all year for belongs on the plate.

Around the meal

  • Eat normal meals earlier in the day instead of skipping them.
  • Drink water along the way.
  • Take a walk after, even a short one.
  • Plan what you will do with leftovers (see our Leftover Glow-Up).

The BLU Harvest Table has a Thanksgiving collection on Nov 15 with lighter takes on the classics. This is general wellness guidance, not medical advice. If you have a health condition or special dietary needs, check with your healthcare provider.
